Prevost Motorhome Expo; a Fantastic Event

West Palm Beach, Fla. –

If you’re looking to find the greatest display of Prevost Coaches in one area – West Palm Beach was the place to be on Feb. 5 – Feb. 8. The four-day long event allowed for Prevost owners and prospective Prevost buyers to view over 50 new and pre-owned Prevost coaches for sale by dealers as well as walk the campground with 120-plus Prevost and Class A owners camping on site.

Tradewinds Coach took four coaches from DeLand to West Palm Beach to be displayed. The company showcased a 2000 Prevost Featherlite H3-45 Double Slide, 2004 Prevost Featherlite H3-45 Triple Slide, and two Prevost Royale XLII Double Slide coaches. Additional, representatives (Kyle Bennett & Brian Miller) camped onsite for the duration of the event. During the event Tradewinds, as well as all Prevost dealers/vendors, were inundated with potential buyers.

While most companies on display only had new or pre-owned coaches to offer for sale Tradewinds, being a service first facility, took the opportunity to introduce its service, repair, remodel & maintenance side of the company to potential customers. That effort has paid off immediately as new customers followed Tradewinds representatives from West Palm Beach to DeLand to have work done on their coaches.

In addition to sales and service Tradewinds introduced the conversion side of its company as it is currently in the midst of its first build, which is pre-sold, and due to be completed this year. The triple-slide H3-45 shell will be a one of a kind coach built completely custom for its buyer. With no floor-plan to hold the buyer back Tradewinds hopes to introduce a coach that features new components, design elements and ideas to the industry that have not yet been seen.

Local Company Converts Triple-Slide Prevost Coach

Deland, Fla –

Small business does not mean small projects for Tradewinds Coach & Marine as the company is set to begin a custom conversion on a triple-slide Prevost shell in 2018. Owned by Scott Bennett and Brian Miller, the ambitious conversion embodies the spirit of a growing local company.

“We are fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful customers,” Bennett said. “We have developed long-lasting relationships that have allowed the business to continue to develop seamlessly. We are excited about what lies ahead.”

The coach conversion comes at an optimal time for the company. In less than a decade, the two-man (mobile only) shop has seen great expansion. With 13 full-time employees operating in a 40,000-square foot facility, Tradewinds has solidified itself in the Prevost and luxury motorhome industry.

“We have hired some additional technicians for this project,” Miller said. “A conversion of this size will take some time, but the company is in a place where it can excel in production without missing a beat on the service side of the business.”

While Prevost enthusiasts will have to wait to see the finished project, the company will continue business as usual focusing on its core business; service, repair, remodels and upgrades.

Tradewinds plans to attend multiple events this year including the Prevost Motorhome Expo in West Palm Beach, Fla. The company will have three coaches for sale at the expo and will also stay on site camping amongst other customers and Prevost owners.

Tradewinds Coach and Marine Reflects on a Successful 2016

Deland, Fla.

The Year That Was

In 2016 Tradewinds celebrated its sixth year in business and its sixth consecutive year of growth. In September, the company purchased the 40,000 square-foot building it previously leased a portion of the for three-plus years.

“After starting this company as a mobile repair service working out of the back of a pickup truck, we are extremely proud to purchase our facility,” Scott Bennett company co-owner said.

As Tradewinds continued looking for ways to better serve the Prevost market it became a licensed RV dealer and is excited to announce that, in addition to having a service booth, it will be showcasing three coaches at the Prevost-Stuff show in Tampa on January 16th and 17th.

“Becoming a dealer was the next step in the process,” Brian Miller, company co-owner said. “Being a dealer allows us to truly be a full-service facility helping customers make a smooth transition from purchase to service to enjoying their bus.”

The company continued introducing, implementing and installing Control4; an innovative home automation and controlling system. It continues to be one of the simplest, and most affordable, automation systems on the market today.

“This system offers the best value in the industry when compared to other controlling systems available on the market,” Bennett said.

Tradewinds closed the book on 2016 with 10 full-time employees with the immediate need to hire additional technicians and salesmen.
